Should PUBG be banned among students

"Brainwashing": Petition wants to ban the hype game "Fortnite"

"Fortnite: Battle Royale" is currently one of the most popular games. But there is at least a small amount of resistance to the game for PC, consoles and smartphones. So a petition was started, which aims to have the game banned. The two makers justify this with the fact that many players would hardly spend any more time on their partners or families through "Fortnite: Battle Royale".

At first only meant funny

The petition has already attracted 1,622 supporters. At first, the starters didn't mean them very seriously, as they write themselves. Now that they have been able to attract so many supporters, they can see that the game seems to be really causing problems. However, the postings on the petition also contain funny contributions such as "'PUBG' is better", so not all supporters should be very serious.

Tweet started

The creators themselves are said to have started playing "Fortnite: Battle Royale". They enjoy writing on the change.org portal. Incidentally, the petition began on Twitter. There a schoolgirl published a list of those classmates where the better half spends more time playing the game than with them. The tweet received more than 7,600 retweets and 20,000 favs.

Brings school networks to a standstill

"Fortnite: Battle Royale" is actually a problem at some US educational institutions. In many places, school networks should hardly work or no longer work because so many students play the game on their smartphones. The game was recently released for iOS, and an Android version will follow soon. The game is also one of the most watched titles on the Twitch streaming platform, making streamer "Ninja" the most popular Twitch user of all time. (red, 04/09/2018)
