What determines a vehicle 0 60MPH time

Fastest car 0-100 km / h with road approval

Here you will find a list of the fastest cars that accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h. Here, too, there are different categories into which the cars are divided. Electric marvels that were developed by university teams and resemble a symbiosis of Formula 1 car and go-kart are left out. One of them is the E0711-5 of the Greenteam from Baden-W├╝rttemberg, which made it into the Guiness Book of Records with a time of 1.779 seconds. The AMZ Grimsel was even faster in 2016 with a time from 0 to 100 km / h of 1.513 seconds. In this table, however, we deal with production cars and leave out prototypes and tuning cars. The same applies to the fastest 0-200 km / h cars.

Variations in US cars

The measurements of US-American vehicles often give way in favor of a shorter time, since 0 - 96 km / h (60 mph) and not 0 - 100 km / h are measured. In addition, the time is aided by the fact that the measurement is not taken from the standstill or the first acceleration, but only when the car has covered 30 cm (11.5 inches). This adjustment is called "1-foot-rollout", improves the acceleration time on average by approx. 0.3 seconds and comes from American drag racing.

Fastest car 0-100 km / h table

Some cars on this list would like to call themselves the fastest car 0-100 km / h, but here there is a clear winner with the Aspark Owl (1.69 seconds specified time, 1.92 seconds were measured so far).
