The paradise

Gen 2.5there were as yet no field bushes on the earth and no field plants were growing; for the Lord God had not yet let it rain on the earth and there was still no man who tilled the soil;Gen 2.6but moisture rose from the earth and soaked the whole surface of the arable land.Gen 2.7Then the Lord God formed man out of earth from the field and blew the breath of life into his nose. So man became a living being.Gen 2.8Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there put the man he had formed.Gen 2.9The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the soil, tempting to look at and with delicious fruits, but in the middle of the garden the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.Gen 2.10A river springs in Eden to water the garden; there it divides and becomes four main rivers.Gen 2.11One is called Pishon; it is he who flows around the whole land of Hawaii, where there is gold.Gen 2.12The gold of that land is good; there are also bdellium resin and carnelian stones.Gen 2.13The second stream is called Gihon; it is he who flows around the whole land of Kush.Gen 2.14The third stream is called the Tigris; it is he who flows east of Assyria. The fourth stream is the Eufrat.Gen 2.15So the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and guard it.Gen 2.16Then the Lord God commanded man: You may eat of all the trees in the garden,Gen 2.17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad; because as soon as you eat of it you will die.Gen 2.18Then the Lord God said: It is not good for the man to be alone. I want to give him help that suits him.Gen 2.19The Lord God formed all the animals of the field and all the birds in the sky from the soil and brought them to man to see what he would name them. And as man named every living being, so it should be called.Gen 2.20Man gave names to all cattle, the birds of the sky, and all the animals of the field. But he did not find help that corresponded to the human being.Gen 2.21Then the Lord God let fall a deep sleep on man, so that he fell asleep, took one of his ribs and closed its place with flesh.Gen 2.22The Lord God built a woman out of the rib he had taken from man and brought her to man.Gen 2.23And the man said: This is finally the bone of my bone / and flesh of my flesh. / She shall be called woman, / for she was taken from man.Gen 2.24That is why the man leaves his father and mother and binds himself to his wife and they become one flesh.Gen 2.25Both Adam and his wife were naked, but they were not ashamed of each other.
