Jay Cutler is a retired American footballer quarterback who had a 12-year professional career in the National Football League. Jay Christopher Cutler was born on April 29th, 1983 in Santa Claus, Indiana. He attended Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Indiana. Jay played both security and quarterback positions during his time with the school's soccer team, the Patriots. The high point of his high school career was his senior year, when he helped the school to a 15-0 aggregate victory and also won the 3A state championship, the first in the school's history. His brilliant performance earned him the all-state first-team selection.
Cutler started college career in all 45 games of his 4-year history and he has not missed a game due to injury. As a freshman, he hurried 393 yards, the highest of all quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference, and also set a school record for touchdowns (9) and rookie rushes. His performance earned him the selection of a first-team newcomer to All-SEC. He stayed in great shape throughout his career, and his performance eventually peaked during his senior season (2005). He completed 273 passes for 3,073 yards, 21 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, making him the second player in the history of the Vanderbilt Commodores to throw more than 3,000 yards in one season. He finished the season with a school record and conference-led act totaling 3,288 meters. His performance earned him an All-SEC first-team selection and he was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year in 2005.
By the end of his 4-year career with the Jay Cutler, Commodores of Vanderbilt, records were set for careers in the school for insults (9,953 yards), touchdown passes (59), pass yards (8,697) , completed passes (710), attempted passes (1,242), and combined touchdowns (76). The 2007 NFL season marked Cutler's first season as the Bronco's starting quarterback. However, he was plagued by injuries in what turned out to be his final season with the Chicago Bears. In 5 appearances, he recorded 1,059 passes, 4 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, and a 78.1 pass rating. He was fired from the team in March 2017 and 2 months later he announced his retirement from the sport.
Cutler, who retired in August 2017, joined the Miami Dolphins after the team's quarterback Ryan Tannehill sustained an injury at the end of the season. In the 2017 season he played 14 games with the Dolphins and ended the season with 2,666 overtaking maneuvers, 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
